Explore Amsterdam’s wartime history with visits to the Portuguese Synagogue, Hollandsche Schouwburg, and National Resistance Museum, learning about resistance, human rights, and life during the Nazi occupation.

Travel to Belgium and visit Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery before arriving in Ypres. End the day with a group dinner and the Last Post Ceremony and wreath-laying at the Menin Gate.

Day 5: Arras

Step into the history of Ypres with visits to key First World War sites, including the Cloth Hall, John McCrae’s Dressing Station, Langemark German Cemetery, and Passchendaele Museum.

Continue exploring significant battlefield memorials before travelling onward to Arras. After checking in, students will take part in class time followed by a group dinner at a local restaurant.
