Enjoy a buffet breakfast before visiting the Portuguese Synagogue and Hollandsche Schouwburg Deportation Centre, learning about the experiences of Jewish citizens during the Nazi occupation. Continue to the National Resistance Museum to explore stories of courage, difficult choices, and the importance of protecting freedom and human rights. After lunch, travel by coach to Belgium and visit Lijssenthoek Military Cemetery, where thousands of individual graves offer a powerful introduction to the scale of the First World War.

Afternoon

Upon arrival, check into your accommodation and take part in class time before enjoying a group dinner. In the evening, attend the moving Last Post Ceremony at the Menin Gate, participate in a wreath-laying ceremony, and reflect on Canada’s role in the First World War and the importance of remembrance.
