Japan 2025: Just Arrived

We arrived safely and were met by Mr. Forrest who will travel with us throughout our time in Japan.
We took our bus to the hotel, checked in and enjoyed a quick dinner nearby. Close by our hotel, the shopping mall (which rivals the grandest malls in Paris), the ubiquitous vending machines and the nearby 7/11 have drawn the attention of our students. Truly a different culture with different food with tiny English notations which help us to identify the options. Sofia suggested the fried bread which I had originally rejected - it was wonderful! Mr. Forrest was very helpful identifying everything, especially the ice cream flavours - lemon, coffee, milk and tea. I tried the milk and tea which were excellent.
It was early to bed last night as we were all tired after a long day of travel. Today brings a morning of exploring Osaka followed by classes this afternoon. I look forward to providing more details but, for now, just a short note and a couple of pics of our young ladies to let everyone know that all is well.
